Hi, I'm Sophie

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.

Origins

Moving to Switzerland wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.

The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more intricate than expected.

The Adjustment Phase

Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning were part of it. Gradually, patterns took shape. We found spots that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.

Why I Created SteadyMeadowInk

Most online guidance either spoke at corporate relocation levels or offered shallow tourism content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Switzerland.
